Without a GED, the risk of homelessness dramatically increases

Over a lifetime, a person without a high school diploma or GED represents a cost of $134,000 to the city, whereas someone with either credential provides a benefit of almost $193,000. The GED and higher education preparation course at ECTLC costs nothing for our one-year participants.

A certified adult education teacher is on campus three days a week to offer one-on-one GED and continuing education preparation and testing. Each student is evaluated and a plan is set to ensure graduation.
