Mission & Impact
Hunger for Hope is an opportunity for high schoolers to do service in the community while fasting for 36 hours. It gives these teens the chance to put themselves in the shoes of so many. Showing them that they can give hope, and support those in their community.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly towards East County Transitional Living center (ECTLC) and their mission to transition families out of homelessness and into stability.
Going Without, So Others Don’t Have To
Experiencing hunger firsthand gives young individuals a powerful glimpse into the daily reality that so many face unwillingly. By stepping into discomfort, even for a short time, they develop a deeper sense of empathy and understanding for those who go without food—not by choice, but by circumstance. This experience transforms hunger from an abstract issue into something real and personal, inspiring teens to take action, serve their community, and become lifelong advocates for those in need.
